Kartsiounis Vassilios is a Gynecologist-Obstetrician specializing in Gynecological Oncology. He maintains a private practice in Pylaia, Thessaloniki, while also receiving patients in Marousi, within the IASO Gynecological Clinic.

He was born and raised in Thessaloniki and was admitted with a score of 19/20 in the Panhellenic Examinations to the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, through the national higher education admission system.

He was declared a Doctor of Medicine with the grade "Excellent", with a research thesis in
molecular pathology of endometrial cancer. From an early age, she developed a particular interest in gynecological oncology and minimally invasive, laparoscopic and robotic surgery, following an international, multi-level and highly specialized surgical training in the United Kingdom, Germany and Canada.

He worked for a number of years in NHS teaching hospitals in the United Kingdom, reaching the rank of Consultant (Director), while completing formal training in gynecological oncology and receiving certification from the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (RCOG).
His international experience extends to North America, where he served as a Visiting Fellow in Gynecological Oncology at leading oncology centers Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and Princess Margaret / Toronto General Hospital.

He is certified in Robotic Gynecological Surgery by SERGS and applies modern, minimally invasive techniques to treat gynecological malignancies.

He currently serves as an Academic Fellow – ESGO Fellow at the 3rd Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic of the Hippocrates General Hospital of Thessaloniki, as well as a surgical associate of the Gynecology Clinic at the Theageneio Cancer Hospital of Thessaloniki, in parallel with his private clinical activity in Thessaloniki and Athens.
